Q: Hey, for those who aren’t familiar with your music, could you tell us a little about yourself?
I give everyone nicknames that catch on instantly. I called myself The Dom Mom once as a joke, a vibe, and it stuck. I’m a very passionate person who isn’t afraid to feel emotions to their fullest intensity and typically write from those extreme places. I would definitely describe myself as a pro-drama, chaotic-good stallion gremlin goddess.
Q: You recently released your new single ”Your Neck Here” – can you tell us what the song is about?
It’s mainly about me being over fake friends and modern day hookup culture. I’ve never participated in it because it was just never my vibe. For people that mutually benefit from it/are into it – great for you, but do not lie to me and pretend to be looking for the same things I am. Like, go find someone that wants to also casually hookup, don’t be out here tricking people – that makes you evil and degrading in my book. You not knowing what you want is your problem, do not attempt to make it mine.
Q: What inspirations do you take when writing your music?
The most important thing for me is giving myself the space and acceptance to feel and entertain every emotion that comes up to it’s fullest. It’s how I’m able to make sense of everything that happens to me and therefore everything I write and sing about. Even if it’s a little delusional – it’s coming from somewhere real.
Q: Who are your current favorite new artists?
Definitely Lana Lubany, Rhea Raj and Anees. I see myself in them and it gives me that extra bit of reassurance that I can do it too.
Q: Who would your dream collaboration be with, and why?
Rihanna. No elaboration needed.
Q: What does the rest of the year have in store for you?
More singles! Just met this producer in London online that’s making instrumentals with South Western Asian influence that for my vibe really well. Excited to work with him more!
